Baking alone in her kitchen, tattered, old Bunny receives a troublesome late-night visitor from the deepest woods -or deeper. A hairy moth, as battered as Bunny, seems to be stalking her. Her attempts to remove it only make the moth more insistent. What is it about this nocturnal pest that stirs her deepest fears and memories? Written and directed by Chris Wedge, a founding member of Blue Sky Studios, Bunny began as an effort to stretch the limits of the company's proprietary lighting software, CGI Studio ®. What makes Bunny unique is its warm, photorealistic style that belies the computer technology that made it possible. Using radiosity, an advanced computer rendering technique that mimics the most subtle properties of natural light, Wedge and his crew were able to create a dimensionality and realism never before seen in computer-animation.
